My Hope for You to be Hopeful: An Ode to 2020!

Hey Everyone,

It’s the last day of December guys! Believe it or leave it – the earth is about to complete it’s axis around the sun and we are still here! 🙂 Woot Woot!!!!! I try to interweave some of my favourite makes of 2020 throughout this post for you to enjoy!

2020 has been something special and that’s inclusive of all the ups and downs, gains, losses and tragedy that we have all experienced in different ways and varying degrees. The world as we know it would never be the same again and so are we. The YOU of Jan 1 2020 is not the YOU of Dec 31st 2020. Whether you have done all the things you wanted to do this year or you have barely managed to keep hope alive over these months, you have changed! 🙂

I don’t know about you but it was an EXTRA-ORDINARY year and I celebrate you being here still! 🙂

A cousin of mine put it most eloquently on social media when she said, “We may not have everything we want but after all we have been through this year can we pause for a second and find something to be thankful for?”

THANK YOU for staying with my creative and entrepreneurial journey here on Utasews. I would be lying if I didn’t mention the struggle to create during this pandemic and run a small business but it has been a pleasure to continue to do this with you cheering me on. Thank you! 🙂

Nothing was as usual this year. Business was not as usual, my creative inspiration had ups and downs and I did not create as much as I would have liked or did the things I hoped my business would achieve but I did create and the pieces I did and the blog posts that I shared with you reminded me of what still inspires me and ignites passion.

As we close out 2020 I am super grateful and hopeful for the future. Did I accomplish all I wanted to in 2020? No I did not. However, I am encouraged to have high hopes in the midst of it all and dare to believe that the days ahead are brighter than what we can see now. 🙂 I send that same prayer your way! 🙂

I wish you and yours a blessed and prosperous 2021. High hopes! 🙂 Continue to stay safe and positive. 2020 would not have been the same without you here!
