November Sweater Weather!

Hey Everyone,

I missed you too!

I couldn’t let November go by without dropping you a few lines to let you know the creative journey continues over here at Utasews. ๐Ÿ™‚

November just came and is about to close and I can’t even tell you how many unfinished plans I have lined up…lol. Nevertheless, on that same line of thought, I got many things done too. ๐Ÿ™‚

One of those amazing projects and opportunities I had in November was working with the Alice pattern from the Fibremood’s issue 12 pattern magazine. This pattern was gifted and it was a pleasure to sew with. This is my second pattern testing with Fibremood.

The V-back view

So as most of you know I draft my own patterns for my pieces and hack other patterns to create my unique silhouettes. However, every now and then I also use commercial patterns as testers but also to add specific pieces to my wardrobe. These commercial patterns also help me to improve my sewing techniques.

The Alice Pattern – Fibremood

Let’s just say it was that project that I needed at that time to boost my creative flow. Every now and then as a creative we need a project that can boost our creative morale along the journey. This was it for me that week. I absolutely enjoyed sewing this up and it was quick with no issues. No adjustments were made to this pattern either.

The High neck front view

I was drawn to the versatility of wearing the back to the front and vice versa.

Either way you can wear this: High neck or v-neck

I can see this made up with different fabric combos. What do you think? I will definitely be making more of these in different variations over the holidays. I plan to try a sweater dress hack with this as well.

What I am up to as we close out November?
