My continued well wishes to you and your loved ones as the world continues to navigate these times.
Happy new month! Can you believe we are in August already? We sure are. With that said, for those of us in the northern hemisphere, it signals the final countdown to those hot days semi-cool nights of what we call summer. 🙂
Until we have alleviated this virus in its totality, our social interactions and activities are not the same. I know it’s hard to wrap our heads around that but unfortunately it’s just the reality of what we are in NOW. Not final! Just a time to endure and work through for the safety of not just ourselves but those we love. :).
Physically Distancing Fashionably! PDF!! During this time when most summer activities that we anticipated did not have their usual run, I wanted to inspire you visually with some of the summer wardrobe pieces that I have created this year that can be perfect for those final activities of summer or your next vacation. You can distance fashionably still! 🙂 Here are some one-of-a-kind custom pieces that are either available in shop at SHOP AMSHINA or can be customized using available material in my fabric stash. 🙂 With each piece, I share scenarios and occasions that these pieces would have been perfect for under normal conditions. The envisioned festival, concert, wedding, party etc. is now something much different, but we can still look the part!
Strapless Romper Dress – I think this is an ideal festival dress. Can you see yourself attending a summer festival in this piece? Feeling chilled with the strapless look but can easily go from the festival to a party or throw a jacket over to head to the office. Flats or heels can change this look in an instant.
The Kimono – This is that lightweight outer wear that can be thrown over just about anything to give you a cool chic look or dressed up for something more fancy!
The Palazzo Two-Piece Strapless – This is for that unplanned boat ride or family picnic in the park. The linen is cool and airy and it can be dressed up or down by wearing the top on the outside or on the inside of the pants to give a jumpsuit look.
The Palazzo Two-Piece with Long Sleeves – This is great for a summer wedding. The versatility of the two-piece allows you to wear the pieces separately afterwards.
The Collar Maxi Dress – This dress has a regal presence of something fashionable, unique to the eye and a subtle elegance to the wearer. I can see this at an outdoor festival, a fashion show event, a benefit dinner or a show on the resort. The occasion can be anywhere. 🙂
The Regular Maxi Dress – This staple is great even if you are just around the house. Comfy and stylish for a getaway or a day in the city.
The Long Wrap Maxi Skirt – These are statement pieces. The bold prints allow you to pair them with neutrals as your occasions demands. 🙂
The Long Two-Piece Lounge Set- If you were able to go from lounging around your house to the airport or to a meeting, this is the kind of two-piece look that could take you there. Can you see it?
The Dashiki Shift Dress – A summer staple dress. The look of comfy and chic says it all. There’s a lot you can do with this silhouette.
The Summer Breeze Strapless Top – For a little bit of shoulder and some print that gives you a fun look, these are a summer staple for many minimalist fashionistas.
I hope these selected pieces inspired you as you plan the next staycation, vacation, curb-side visit or if you are just chilling in your home and backyard. The thing is your wardrobe in this time can be what you want it to be. No limits.
It’s never been a better time to get dressed up and feel an extra pep in your step just because you are wearing something you love.
How have you been spending your summer? Do you live where there is good weather all round or are you anticipating the final weeks of summer as we embrace Fall in the North?
Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
I will be back again with the closet organizing update.
Take care until. Stay safe!
