Hey Everyone,
Here to bring you a fashionable roundup of our anniversary getaway in August.
We really pushed to make the best of what time we had in August and because fashion is a part of my makeup, I had to fashionably capture it π Thanks to my hubby who was diligent with the camera. π

The trip was last minute because we weren’t sure whether we could mentally and physically handle the stress of the entire trip given the pandemic we are in. Some might have said it was crazy but knowing the care and consideration we have been taking to look over our loved ones these past months, we were far from reckless on this trip despite it all. π

But fresh air and the chance of driving and hanging out together won us over. We also carefully planned how, where we would stay, how we would treat those spaces and how we intended to have meals while on the road. π
We are both foodies so in the least we felt like even with the pandemic and all, we had some amazing food on this trip. (To go that is :))

And yes the fashion was a focus since I intentionally incorporated my handmade pieces everyday to show you how versatile pieces can be – and of course packing light.
If you missed it on instagram or even if you have seen the looks before, here goes my outfit-of-the-day roundup on the getaway.

I drove the first leg so comfort was key. I paired my handmade cardigan and this everyday tank top with some old navy shorts and my converse. These were comfy and allowed me to transition to walking around once we arrived at our first stop in Montreal.

I was going for that garden camouflage look here you can say lol… We were going to the botanical gardens in Montreal so I wanted to look pretty in the least. This maxi skirt that I made for my honeymoon 5 years ago always makes me feel fabulous.

This was our last day in Montreal and a driving day on to our next stop, Quebec City. Comfort again for travelling in the car and for a roadside stop for lunch. I opted for my Old Navy pants again and i paired it with this handmade wrap top I made last year as a tester for a McCall’s pattern I wanted to try (M7627). It was a good tester because I love this top. I felt like a modern day woman sailor lol.

Anniversary day was another day of walking around the beautiful Quebec city. Comfort again! This is a common theme with my clothing if you haven’t gathered by now. It’s always inclusive of comfort whether dressing up or down. I adore this two-piece linen palazzo look. I made it back in April this year for my birthday.

An oldie but a goodie. This kimono was great for the third day driving as we headed from Quebec City to Mont Tremblant. Airy and still stylish.

Me blending in with nature with this strapless summer breeze top and matching mask. These shorts were Old Navy as well.

The last day was our drive back home. So the handmade piece that worked best for this day was my trusted kimono knit cardigan that was perfect for the AC in the car journey. π I felt chic with this getup too. Good pairing if I say so myself. π
All in all it was an amazing trip. Stressful yes, fun yes, but we made it work and were happy for our little escape away in the middle of this all to celebrate our 5 years! π
Thanks for stopping by.
