The Fall Capsule Wardrobe Roundup!

Hey Fall πŸ™‚

With the preparation for the Etsy Made in Canada event and completing this capsule, I wasn’t sure my ambitious self could do it. But here we are:Β  14 individual pieces later that compliment each other and can be worn interchangeably to give you more than 20 different looks.

Just when I thought time was of the essence, the capsule wardrobe inspiration came together. I had to refer to the below photo to see what I could omit, (within reason of course), given the time constraint I found myself in.

The Capsule Wardrobe Colour Wheel Inspiration of Fabrics and the earrings of course

Every piece from the wheel above was included in the collection except for the red/orange between the beige and mustard at the top. I felt that I already had a piece in the silhouette that I was planning to make with that fabric. That fabric can rather serve as an option for someone wanting the Beige dress in another fabric :). So that omission helped to streamline things.

From the above wheel I made the following items:

A Dress Romper

Quirky, preppy and chic all in one! From the uneven ties details to the box pleat in the back and of course in-seam side pockets – Definitely a special one of a kind.

A Dashiki Style Dress

This was an up-cycle using an extra Ikea blind that I had. I added the sleeve details and the buttons along the front for some added style and individuality as a piece.

A Short Amshina Maxi Dress

A midi version of my Amshina maxi dress using this beautiful fall floral inspired rayon fabric.

A Culottes Jumper

Paired with the Mustard Knit Top for Fall styling

A Knit Top

NEW pieces added outside of the above wheel of Inspiration

So the thing about the capsule is that the pieces allow you to mix and match and they compliment each other at the same time. I added complimenting colours and prints I thought could expand what the wheel already offered and more.

The Earrings still went with these πŸ™‚

PS: The earrings are from Vicki at The Handmade Jungle

From the above wheel I made the following items:

High Waisted Paper-bag Palazzo Pants

I know… that was a lot right? I hope you enjoyed it.

Do you have a favourite piece or combo? Do tell!

Remaining pieces will be available in my shop for sale by the weekend. CheckΒ The Shop daily for new listings. (I am working on it as we speak) πŸ™‚ Be patient with me! πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by. See you in another two weeks. I can tell you all about what’s next!

The sewing chronicles continue.

Blessings!

Uta
