Inspiration at First Sight: My Fall Capsule Wardrobe!

Happy September!

Fall is a stone’s throw away but I am pumped and excited to share my latest wardrobe collection inspiration with you. These colours are giving me life! The cornerstone of this idea were these earrings that I got from The Handmade Jungle at my last Kensington Market. I absolutely love them!

It was inspiration at first sight! I got struck with a bright idea to create a Capsule Fall Wardrobe under Amshina – all inspiration linking my stash with the earrings above.

Initially I envisioned a dress I have made up already and how these earrings would compliment them. However, by the time I got home from the market, I had the entire collection planned identifying all of the fabrics I would use from my fabric collection. Ain’t that something else? It was a first for me. I made sure to write down all the details before bed.

The inspiration

Fall colours are the most beautiful combination of colours I have seen. The variations of colours in this earring resembles and pairs well with the wheel of fabrics I have been able to put together from my fabric collection to create the mini capsule. There’s plum, mustard, beige, burnt orange and blood orange.

What to expect?

The idea of creating a one-of-a-kind capsule fall wardrobe was birthed. Usually my pieces are one, two or three-of-a-kind, but for this capsule there will only be one of each piece available. I will style them interchangeably to show you how many looks can be achieved.

I won’t go into details on what those specific pieces are since they can change as I sew up what I have planned out. These things happen in the creative process. But since I know you probably can’t wait until then for the full surprise, here goes a few: A dress romper, a jumpsuit, a long sleeve top, a tank top, infinity scarf, my Lol cardigan etc.

So let’s just say I have my work cut out for me over the next few weeks, but I am committed and excited to show you what I come up with!

Wish me well. I hope you are having a great start to your September as you anticipate what this month has in store for you.

The handmade and entrepreneurial journey continues!

Blessings and see you in two weeks.

Uta
