I visited the LA fashion district in all its glory in just 45 mins!ππΏππΏππΏππΏππΏ
After researching the LA fashion district, I knew what I was up against. I also knew that we didn’t have enough time (neither did I want to subject my group to indulging me for a few hoursπ€£π).
Maybe it was just me. I didn’t want to be disappointed by the fact I couldn’t visit every store and come away with tons of gorgeous pieces. My M.O. was to get in and out. Find one or two main places to visit and be gone.ππΏπ

There was a budget. I sure did make sure I labelled it and held myself accountable to just that.

At the end of the day I was very satisfied. 45 mins later I had four gorgeous pieces and we were on our way. 45 mins guys!! It was some serious self control. And on top of that, I only spent $10 US!πππ½

With only a carry-on suitcase I had to be sensible about the amount of fabric I bought. As well as the fact I need to sew more of my stash. (See below)π

The moral of the trip besides self control as an enthusiastic creative is also having a plan. With my clothing business, I have to plan my fabric purchases now as I consider my creative process and products. It’s easy to go overboard when you don’t have a plan as a creative. I had factors to consider and I stuck to them. LA fashion district is an amazing place. So much to see. Obviously, I have to go back and spend more time.
Even though I did a tiny fabric haul and one pattern (Jo-Ann) it was really good to see this area. I can’t wait to return.
I trust you guys had an amazing February. I will be back in March to show you some of my makes with what I purchased.
Thanks for stopping by. The sewing chronicles continue.
Bless
Uta
