Commanding the room with a Pink Shift!

Nothing beats the presence of a wardrobe piece that is not only complimented for the craftsmanship but also for the confidence with which the wearer presents it.

That my friends is how this bright pink shift dress showed up a few weeks ago!

This beauty is an elevation of my Summer Shift dress using the dashiki pattern I created. You can see the immediate details that were added to give it that extra-ness that was missing. πŸ™‚ What do you think?

The details were the puff sleeve and the pleated frill that formed the hem. How stunning did my pal look? She was fabulous.

The linen was super comfy for this style creating an easy breezy breathable shift dress that is perfect for the summer heat. Ooh and did I mention it carries two in-seam pockets on the side? Yes! I am here for the pockets.

It was definitely a great merger of the design, the fabric and of course the personality of the wearer. πŸ™‚

I really loved how it turned out and can’t wait to try some more variations using other lightweight woven fabrics as well as knits. I mean I am sure you can picture this as a little black dress??? Hint hint…holiday look coming your way πŸ™‚

With August almost ending, I anticipate the end of summer and am already dreaming up those fall ideas for you guys. Stay tuned.

I trust your summer has been amazing. πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by! Until next time…

Blessings

Uta

  1. It’s gorgeous! I love that you use the dashiki as the basic shape and then you can add extra details. It’s simple but really, really stylish.
