Where the Magic Happens: My Creative Space!

Happy Wednesday!

This week I want to visually show you the space where all the magic happens. The designing, sewing, cutting, planning, running the business etc.

This space has evolved over the years from a tiny corner to a room on its own. I think the saying is true when you do have more room you tend to fill it.😂🤣🤣🤣 Just saying guys.

It’s clearly divided into the office space and the sewing spot. My rolling purple chair allows me to navigate back and forth between the computer and the sewing machines.

This space has also assisted me in writing many a grad school papers including the biggest one of all, my thesis. This cute antique table came with a chair but it’s now residing in the guest room since it was more practical to have a chair with wheels for mobility. The little green cabinet has a bunch of sewing notions and trims such as zippers, buttons, needles, elastic, sewing machine parts to name a few. Things have gotten out of control in there so I need to reorganize and have some labels for the outside.

This computer has been my television, work station and entertainment over the past 5 years. Instead of buying a laptop replacement back then, this was more practical for me at the time. It has served me well so far.

My life size calendar and bulletin board completes that little corner and helps me stay organized.

This corner is for my guests when I have fittings.

The sewing table is loaded and is only used for cutting small pieces because my serger and main sewing machine lives here (My antique sewing machine is away for now). Larger pieces are cut on the floor. It’s better for accuracy. Hence why I have to always keep my floors clean and cannot allow it to be unkept. I am hoping my table can be used for cutting more one day when I have a little more space😁 (can a sister dream about a cutting table so big that I would never cut on the floor again??!!🙌🏿💜)

It’s great to have these handy bits on my table. Those ceramic vegetable coasters are my pattern weights.🙌🏿

My walls are decorated with very little. I found this fabric at a local store and thought it would look well framed. The little name signage was a gift from my dearest friends.

Last but not least my visible fabric stash and girls (The mannequins: Winnie & Sister).
