Everything nice, must come twice….
I think life in part entails duplicating those things that add to your existence. You know, the good stuff, the good qualities, good habits….and I could go on. But what I am trying to say is that when you have done something that is good duplicating it can only get better. JUMPER NO.2. It was another project and it turned out awesome. I attempted jersey fabric once more. ooooooh no I didn’t, sure did!
Tada!!!
You all know behind each project there is a story, so here goes the 411 on how the jumper was born.
How it all happened
Onesy no. 2. can be seen as a Rush job. Hahah. That kind of lingo makes me sound like a custom made sewer right. Between my friend liking the fabric, trying on my yellow jumper and desiring one of her own, I started drafting the jumper in no time.
Yes, that’s where the magic happens. My cutting area “THE FLOOR”. The pants and top were cut out and by the end of the evening I had sewn the top and pant separately. Lining up the stripes were key in this project as it was my first time working with stripes and it was critical to the overall look.
There she is, my model and one of my awesome friends CB. Can you tell she absolutely loved the finished product. Nothing like bringing a smile to the face of someone. 🙂
Models are hard to find, but all I ask of my pals as I try out these new pieces is to send me photos when out and about or to have me take photos of them in the outfits. So yes, the jumper style has migrated from my closet into the closet of a friend. I like that.
In hindsight this project was not planned
It was not planned but given the few hours I spent on it, I think it is safe to say jersey material is definitely growing on me. I was not as fearful as the maxi skirt experience or the first jumper. I welcomed the challenge and was finished in no time and best of all my friend loved it.
I do have two other projects lined up using jersey knit, so stay tuned for more.
Jumper twins 🙂
That’s all for now ,
Just keep sewing, just keep sewing, what do we do we sew sew sewwwwwwww…

what a fantastically talented seamstress, and (I must say), what a beautiful model! Two beauties!
Thank you 🙂
Hey beautiful jumper one and two are gorgeous. Was there a pattern? Or could you show me how you did this?
Thank you..There was no pattern. I simply used a work pant to put the pants and used my measurement to do the tube top.:) lots of trying on and off for good fit.
