Reflections: Showcase Review & Pictures :) :) :)

Hi Guys!

Happy New week!!!!

RAWToronto_VERSE-Ian 6548

Its a great day for a showcase throwback don’t you think. Its been just over a month that AmshinaApparel my handmade custom clothing business had the opportunity to showcase on the RAW- Natural Born Artist platform. If you have never heard of them before please feel free to check them out. It’s an amazing group that gives artist like myself a platform to showcase and share my talent with the community and progress in my branding. The event was well curated and organised by the local staff and was really well done. Β This was my first collection adventure. As you can imagine even though I had a few months to plan it was still quite challenging trying to curate pieces and sew them at the same time, not to mention the model search and fittings that followed this process. Nevertheless, I must say I had some amazing volunteers and friends that came alongside me to offer guidance, support and tangible contributions to making this opportunity a reality. I was and continue to be very grateful to each and every individual from my family and friends near and far.

A special special shout out to my Husband, his cousins and friend that took the time out to record and mix the song. Your support was priceless. Thank you!!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The pieces

Originally I had planned twelve (12) pieces, but a few weeks before showcase one of my models cancelled due to some unforeseen circumstances so I had to make some adjustments. This was okay since I was being overly ambitious in a good way. πŸ™‚ Still love her. She will be in show no. 2 πŸ™‚ hahahhah got that ma….lol.

Okay , so on to the eleven (11) pieces that graced the runway in the below order. I also strategically created three sections for my overall presentation. Check out the group shots below too:

Inspiration

Inspiration came from many pieces and places, but I was also inspired by the styles of my models too. Showcasing my pieces were key but also having my models feel comfortable in their looks was paramount. πŸ™‚

The goal was to showcase my love for print but also the Fit, Function, Fashion and Fun that my pieces offers its wearers. Versatility and style in one look :). My pieces are also geared at different shapes and sizes as you can see in my use of models!:) πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Thank you guys for being patient with my mini review here. You may have seen some on my instagram but its way overdue for a post here. This one definitely is a milestone and learning moment in my sewing journey and I look forward to the next stage! πŸ™‚

Thanks for your continued support. Stay tuned! The sewing chronicles is definitely continuing. Hope you are all having a great summer! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Just keep sewing, just keep sewing, what do I do I sew, sew sewwwwwww!! πŸ™‚

Bless
