I hope these past couple months have been good to you and if not, that with the opportunity of the new month ahead, the hope for your hopes stands out. 🙂
March and February were all about small steps, little wins and the building of momentum. I am reminded that when it seems all is overwhelming just start where you can.
This mini clothing rack of pieces including pieces sewn at the start of the year and others from last year have been waiting for their moment to shine. They finally got it!
The reality of creating pieces also means that they must be photographed. With my schedule this is not always an immediate next step.
Nonetheless, it was all about starting where I can. I took a couple hours and decided it was photography day for these pieces and had fun styling them.
This very act of carving this time to focus on something that will not only bring me joy but motivation for creating was a big step. Waiting for the perfect day is not the goal or the imagined respite anymore. Your best this season may not be the same in the next but an appreciation for honouring where you are at is humbling even if the season before looked different.
Since this moment of taking a few hours for capturing these pieces and writing the supporting blogs, I have visited my creative space at least once a week and hope to continue in the coming months.
Here is to the new month ahead with a little reminder that while you wait for the big wins, the little ones are part of that story too.
