I hope January has been good to you!
We are doing this blog thing in 2024 and I hope you stick around to be a part of the journey.
Yes, I know it’s the new year and people are making plans and commitments but so am I.
Realistic ones though! It’s not my first rodeo and given the ambitious plans of 2023 that never saw the light of day – slow, focused and steady steps were the mantra for this month. I think we achieved it with much grace on the things we did not get to.
I am proud to report that while Rome was not built this January in my creativity endeavours, I had the pleasure of having some great business discussions with my inner circle, launched a feedback survey, listened to some amazing podcasts, ideated on a few ideas with some research, read a few books to inspire me on this new direction, had help in continuing the fabric organization and spent some time at the machine creating three pieces. Of those three pieces created, one was a newly drafted pattern! Yes, we have a new Amshina original in the wardrobe lineup and I can’t wait to share it with you once the photoshoot is done in February.
Proud indeed, of the steps and the things I was able to do. Nonetheless, I am excited to continue this same steady flow of planned and incremental movement in the direction of growth.
